Job summary

Midwest Limousine and Transportation is seeking a reliable Medical Transportation Driver to join our Chicago, IL team. You will ensure safe, comfortable, and timely transport for Veterans, seniors, and healthcare consumers, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes safe driving, customer service, punctuality, and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, with background checks and drug screening part of the process.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to assist passengers with limited mobility, including wheelchair handling.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and medical clients to and from appointments, hospitals, clinics, and care facilities.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices as needed.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper working condition.
• Follow designated routes while adapting to traffic conditions to ensure on-time arrivals.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, medical staff, and clients.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain passenger confidentiality.

• Must pass a background check and drug screening
