Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis invites qualified medical laboratory scientists/technologists to join our laboratory services team. The role performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex techniques and reports results to support clinical diagnosis.

Education required is a Bachelor's degree with current MT/MLS certification (or eligible). Experience up to 3 years in a clinical lab is acceptable. Shifts are Friday to Sunday evenings, with 6:00pm–6:30am start times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Current MT/MLS certification or categorical certification required.
• Experience up to 3 years in a clinical laboratory; new MLS graduates eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.
• Provide information to the medical staff to aid in diagnosis.

Licensure

Experience:

• up to 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or equivalent or
• certification eligible new MLS graduate

Certifications: Current certification as MT/MLS or categorical certification, through ASCP or equivalent
