Job summary

Summerville Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform tests in the clinical laboratory with independence and accuracy. The role requires ASCP/AMT/NCA or US DHHS registration, a Bachelor's in Physical or Biological sciences or Clinical Laboratory Science, and preferred hospital lab experience.

Qualifications

• Must be currently registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP, AMT, NCA OR US DHHS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science. Must meet CLIA qualifications.
• Prefer hospital laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests and procedures in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory with independent judgment.
• Responsible for accurate results, proper use of quality control materials and evaluation of results.
• Participates in continuing education, competency and proficiency testing.
