Job summary

Western AZ Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, AZ is hiring a Medical Technologist I for the 4/10 shift (Mon-Thu 11:00–21:30) on a 13-week assignment. Position requires BLS/ASCP-MT or AMT-MLT certification, with hospital experience preferred.

Phlebotomy duties may be included as needed to support patient care. The candidate will perform routine and complex testing, maintain quality control, troubleshoot instruments, and assist in data collection for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital laboratory settings preferred.
• BLS certification required or strongly preferred; MT/MLT certification desired.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and data collection for regulatory compliance.

Position Information:

The Medical Technologist I performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision. This role ensures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to quality control protocols and maintaining laboratory instruments. The Medical Technologist I supports patient care by completing tests efficiently, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting in data collection for regulatory compliance. This position may also include teaching new employees and students and performing phlebotomy duties as needed.
