Job description

Medical Technologist//MLT/Lab Technician - Manual Hematology/Coagulation

Join the Cleveland Clinic team as a Medical Technologist//MLT/Lab Technician - Manual Hematology/Coagulation.

This position offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000 and involves working nights from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

In this role, you will perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels in the Manual Hematology/Coagulation Lab, following laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, and reporting. You will maintain regulatory compliance, ensure quality control, and participate in continuing education.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field or meeting CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing, Ohio licensure at the technologist level, and relevant licenses in Microbiology, Immunohematology, or similar. Preferred qualifications include certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) from the ASCP.

This role requires physical ability to handle specimens, operate microscopes, and stand for long periods, with exposure to hazardous materials possible. Personal protective equipment must be used following standard precautions.

The position is classified as entry level, full-time, within the hospital and healthcare industry.
