Harris Health System in Houston seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform advanced testing and support quality assurance across its lab network.

You will monitor workflows, review results for accuracy, and assist with regulatory compliance while guiding staff and contributing to process improvements.

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science, or Related Science in (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) or completion of an accredited medical laboratory technology/science program
• Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Related Science in (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) (Preferred)

Performs advanced laboratory testing while supporting operational oversight and quality assurance within the laboratory. Monitors workflow, reviews result for accuracy and assists with regulatory compliance activities to maintain high standards of performance. Provides guidance and training to staff while contributing to process improvements and ensuring efficient laboratory operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science, or Related Science in (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) (OR) Completion of an accredited medical laboratory technology/science program
• Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Related Science in (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Science or Technologist in Hematology (H), Chemistry (C), Microbiology (M), Molecular Biology (MB), Blood Bank (BB) issued by ASCP, AMT, AAB

ASCP: American Society for Clinical Pathology

AMT: American Medical Technologists

AAB: American Association of Bioanalysts

Work Experience

• Three (3) years of work experience in Clinical Laboratory
