Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a Cytogenetics/Molecular Biology technician to perform STAT and routine clinical laboratory testing including FISH and karyotyping. Florida licensure is required to start, with daytime hours and weekend on-call rotation.

This position is focused on cytogenetics testing which includes cell culture, FISH, and karyotyping. Other testing may be required based on the needs of the lab. The start date will not begin until a Florida License is acquired. This position is a daytime position, Monday through Friday, with a rotation for on-call for the weekends. We are looking for someone that is patient focused, detail oriented, and works well as team.Perform STAT and routine moderately and highly complex clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens, using both manual methods and automated analyzers. Reports valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner. Interacts with physicians, nurses and other allied health individuals in a manner which is helpful in coordinating testing, correlating results, and/or promotes understanding of test availability. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.We are looking for someone that is detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, and interacts well on a team and independently. Experience in a clinical lab setting is preferred.
