Job summary

ASCP certification and 2–4 years of relevant experience are required, with strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory standards and LIS

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of MT experience in acute care or clinical laboratory.
• ASCP Medical Technologist or equivalent.
• State licensure as applicable by law.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate- to high-complexity testing across laboratory disciplines with timely, accurate results.
• Documents and reports results in the LIS with attention to turnaround times.
• Performs instrument maintenance and calibrations; reports malfunctions promptly.
• Follows QC procedures and resolves out-of-range results to ensure reliability.
• Contributes to proficiency testing, quality initiatives, and regulatory readiness.
• Trains and mentors new employees and students on procedures and safety.
• Maintains records of test performance, logs, and regulatory documentation.
