Job summary

Santa Rosa Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialized lab tests on blood and body fluids during the night shift in Milton, FL. You will ensure accurate results, maintain QC procedures, and assist in data collection for regulatory compliance.

The role includes instrument checks, troubleshooting, and potential phlebotomy duties as needed. 0–2 years of acute care experience and a CLT proficiency exam are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination required
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests with accurate reporting and documentation.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and analyzes data to troubleshoot out-of-range results.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance per policy.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and communicates with appropriate personnel.
• Ensures safety regulations are followed and PPE used as required.
• Supports proficiency testing and data collection for accreditation and regulatory compliance.
