Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and accredited medical technology program preferred.
• One year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Qualified for high complexity testing under CLIA ’88 (42 CFR 493.1489).
• Experience in microbiology, molecular pathology, flow cytometry, or point-of-care testing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential duties related to one or more clinical subspecialties (Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology/Immunology) based on shift.
• For Microbiology, plate reading experience is required.
• May provide customer service related to reference lab test processing and results.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited medical technology program preferred. Alternatively, possesses qualifications for high complexity testing as evaluated against Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments ’88 (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, Part 493.1489).
