Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Lab Technologist to perform and report results for routine hematology and coagulation tests. The candidate will receive, access and process blood and other human specimens for clinical analysis, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance.

Florida state licensure in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Serology, Immunohematology and Microbiology is required. Shift includes Saturdays; salary range posted and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Florida state license in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Serology, Immunohematology and Microbiology is required.
• Three (3) years of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
• Knowledge of theory, testing principles, and instrumentation related to routine clinical laboratory procedures.

Summary Position Highlights

• Performs and reports the results of laboratory tests in the areas of routine hematology, coagulation
• Performs basic referral lab ordering and paperwork.
• Performs quality control and assurance duties.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology.
• Has ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Is knowledgeable of theory, testing principles, and instrumentation related to routine clinical laboratory procedures in the areas of hematology, coagulation, blood banking, microbiology and clinical chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Receives, accessions and processes blood and a variety of other human source specimens for clinical analysis.
• Performs and reports results of routine manual and automated tests in the areas of hematology and coagulation.
• Follows established policies and procedures pertaining to quality control requirements and acceptability of data.

Credentials and Qualifications

• Florida state license in the specialties of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Serology, Immunohematology and Microbiology is required.
• Three (3) years of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.

Shift Schedule: Saturdays Required.

Salary Range $32.80 - $50.02

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.

Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
