HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team in Pearland, TX. The role involves performing tests on blood, urine and body fluids to aid in diagnosis and evaluation, with supervision as needed.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical lab science and at least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver accurate results and maintain testing quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex or specialized laboratory procedures on body fluids to obtain diagnostic information.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Demonstrate accuracy for all testing performed and adhere to quality control/proficiency testing policies.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Utilizes Medical Technologist skills and training to perform test of samples of blood, urine and other body fluids to obtain information utilized in diagnosis and evaluation of a patient’s medical situations. Performs laboratory tests and procedures, which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with supervision.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will perform routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological and immunoassay procedures on body fluids.

• You will communicate effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, business office, and medical records) to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of the customers we serve.

• You will demonstrate accuracy for all testing performed.

• You will perform related quality control and required proficiency testing according to policy and procedure.

What Qualifications You Will Need:
