Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic analytic tests on body fluids in healthcare facilities.

Under supervision, you will handle analysis of blood, sputum, cerebrospinal fluid, and other specimens and ensure compliance with license requirements; benefits include competitive pay and weekly paychecks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory Science is required.
• CAHEA-accredited program completion is required.
• State or client license/registration may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic analytic tests on human body fluids and other specimens.
• Work within clinical laboratories, doctor's offices, reference labs or biotech settings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain quality control.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory Science, or other related field is required

Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist program that is CAHEA-accredited

License/registration may be required by state or client

At least 1 year of experience in a facility or related field preferred

Current BLS card if required via contract or state requirement

Current physical exam, if required by state regulations or contract

Current TB test or chest x-ray

Successful completion of background screening and onboarding process

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

The MedicalLaboratory Technologist /Clinical Laboratory Scientist under the supervision ofdesignated Manager, performs diagnostic analytic tests on human body fluidssuch as blood, sputum, stool, cerebrospinal fluid, peritoneal fluid,pericardial fluid, and synovial fluid, as well as other specimens. The Medical Laboratory Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist works within clinical laboratories, doctor'soffices, reference labs, and within the biotechnology industry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or ClinicalLaboratory Science, or other related field is required

• Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologistor Clinical Laboratory Scientist program that is accredited by the Committee onAllied Health Education (CAHEA) required

• License/registration may be required by state or client

• At least 1 year of experience in a facility or a relatedfield preferred

• Current BLS card if required via contract or staterequirement

• Current physical exam, if required by state regulations orcontract

• Current TB test or chest x-ray

• Successful completion of background screening and onboardingprocess

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
