Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Technologist to join the team. The role supports testing across specimens with a Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 am to 8:30 am schedule, contributing to accurate results and patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology and at least one year of flow cytometry experience. ASCP/AMT certification preferred and safety protocols emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in Flow Cytometry.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Work Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 am - 8:30am.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor?s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in Flow Cytometry
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASCP or AMT certification
Additional Job Standards
  • General knowledge in Flow Cytometry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Hematology ?
  • Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • High level of attention to detailalong with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
