Job summary

The role requires a NYS MT license, a Bachelor's in MT or equivalent, and ideally one year of Medical Technology experience, with new grads considered. Strong customer service and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in MT or equivalent.
• One-year Medical Technology experience preferred. New grads considered.
• NYS Medical Technologist License.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Strong Computer & Writing Skills.
• Ability to Multitask and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain REACH Values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Compassion, Honor).
• Performs all tests relative to the assigned section following policies and ensures specimens are acceptable for testing.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and notify supervisor.
• Adhere to STAT and Critical Result reporting procedures.
• Document QC/QA activities, calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Ensure reagents/test kits have received expiration and opened dates.
• Follow PPE, CLIA, OSHA, and safety guidelines; participate in inspections as required.
• Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge.
• Assist with training of department employees and students.
