Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
Current license issued by the State in which the laboratory is located.
Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred.
1-2 years of acute care hospital lab experience in high complexity testing preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and special laboratory tests on clinical specimens.
Perform analyses in hematology, chemistry, and microbiology.
Document maintenance and quality control records.
Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
Skills
Knowledge of safety and quality control
Using laboratory equipment
Ability to work under deadlines
