Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences is required.
• Master’s degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
• Certification for Medical Technologist (MLS/ASCP or MT/ASCP) is required or AMT or MT (ASCP).
• Specialist certification in discipline (preferred) such as Specialist Hematology (SH/ASCP), Microbiology (SM/ASCP), Specialist BldBnking (SBB/ASCP), Tech Chemistry (SC/ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens and ensure proper identification.
• Determine specimen suitability for testing.
• Prepare reagents as needed and maintain instruments.
• Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
