Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform tests on body fluids and exudates, supporting accurate diagnoses and effective patient care. You will conduct daily quality control and routine maintenance to ensure reliability of all instrumentation.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related biological sciences and certification by ASCP or AMT. One year of clinical experience is preferred to contribute to high-quality laboratory results.

• Perform testing on body fluids and exudates to aid diagnosis and treatment.

• Perform daily and scheduled preventive maintenance on instruments.

Job Summary

As a Medical Technologist you will be responsible for performing testing on body fluids and exudates to provide information used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. You will perform daily quality control, daily and scheduled preventive maintenance on all instruments to ensure quality of tests performed. You will be responsible for supply inventory and storage. Efficient performance of these duties will directly enhance the treatment and recovery of the patient.

Position Requirements

• Must be currently certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP or AMT.
• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related biological science.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.
