Job summary

American Esoteric Labs in Knoxville, TN is hiring for a full-time MLT/MT role on first shift. You will perform moderate to high complexity testing, review results, and ensure accuracy while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reporting results, applying corrective actions when needed, and working in a fast-paced environment with PHI protections. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with AMA-approved Medical Laboratory training to qualify as MLT.
• Bachelor of Science degree or AMA-approved Medical Technology program to qualify as MT.
• Current TN licensure as MLT or MT.
• Certification or eligible by ASCP or equivalent.
• 6 months of laboratory training or experience.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes, and audible alarms.

This opportunity is full-time during first shift.

Location:

Knoxville, TN

Days:

Monday - Friday with rotating weekends.

Hours:

6AM to 2:30PM

In This Role, You Will

All You Need Is

• High school diploma or equivalent and the completion of an AMA-approved Medical Laboratory training program to qualify as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)


• Or


• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent preferred and completion of an AMA-approved program of Medical Technology to qualify as a Medical Technologist (MT)


• Current TN licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT).


• Certification or eligible by ASCP or equivalent


• 6 months of laboratory training or experience


• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills


• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing within area of specialty
