Job description

Role Overview: Performs quality diagnostic laboratory testing on a variety of specimens, demonstrating clinical competencies to analyze multiple laboratory procedures.

  • Prepares reagents, standards, and controls following established protocols.
  • Performs timely test analysis and maintains instrumentation calibration and standardization.
  • Researches and develops new procedures as assigned.
  • Adheres to hospital, department, safety, and laboratory policies.
  • Utilizes computer skills for daily operations and information systems.
  • Supports professional growth, training new staff and students, and contributes to team and department productivity.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or GED, a degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, and eligibility for certification (e.g., ASCP). Preferred qualifications include certification, experience in blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, or urinalysis, and relevant training from the military or accredited programs.
