Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist II to join our Central Laboratory in Needham, MA. You will perform moderate and high-complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, morphology, urinalysis, and serology to support patient diagnoses and care.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related laboratory science and possess strong instrumentation and LIS proficiency. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm in our Needham facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, CL Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science, or related field.
• Ability to perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality standards, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory-related electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high-complexity testing in chemistry, hematology, morphology, urinalysis and serology.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments.
• Enter test results into the laboratory information system with accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with CAP survey attestation, QA/QC, and regulatory standards.
• Analyze and correlate laboratory findings with patient history and diagnoses.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist II to join our Central Laboratory team. In this role, you will perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Laboratory Testing

• Perform moderate and high-complexity testing in areas including:
• Chemistry
• Hematology
• Morphology
• Urinalysis
• Serology
• Other clinical laboratory disciplines as assigned
• Conduct chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological testing on patient specimens.
• Analyze blood, urine, body fluids, and other specimens to identify normal and abnormal components.
• Visually identify and count red and white blood cells.
• Interpret and correlate laboratory findings with patient history, clinical conditions, and diagnoses.
• Accurately document and enter test results into laboratory information systems.

Quality & Compliance

• Conduct competency assessments for moderate and high-complexity testing within the laboratory and regional operations.
• Complete and maintain CAP Survey Attestation requirements.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory data.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Instrumentation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain a variety of analytical laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
• Verify instrument performance through calibration, function checks, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and document corrective actions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Maintain detailed equipment logs, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science, or a related laboratory science field from an accredited institution.
• Ability to perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality standards, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory-related electronic systems.
