Job summary

MedCAREERS in City, State is seeking a dedicated RN for Medical/Surgical nursing in a fast-paced facility. This temporary contract role offers a night shift (12 hours), 36 hours per week, and opportunities to apply evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document care activities in electronic systems, and participate in quality initiatives while maintaining professional standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, and CPI certifications from American Heart Association within 12 months.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• Proficiency with medical software and electronic documentation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based patient care using the nursing process within scope and standards.
• Assess patient needs and implement tailored teaching and care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including delegating and managing nursing resources.
• Document care activities and outcomes accurately using electronic systems.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and unit/department goals.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and sensitivity to cultural and individual diversity.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
