Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for Medical-Surgical care in Bakersfield, CA. This 13-week assignment requires a minimum of 2 years' RN experience, BLS/ACLS, and a California license, with a 12-hour night shift and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

The unit handles general MS conditions with a 5:1 patient–nurse ratio, Cerner EMR utilization, and opportunities to float to other units as census demands; expect collaboration with a charge nurse and support staff, plus weekend coverage

Qualifications

• Must have a valid RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general Medical-Surgical patient care.
• Care for patients with pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, infections and other MS conditions.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation.
• May float to other units based on census needs.
• Work with a charge nurse and nurse aides to coordinate care.
• Adhere to a 12-hour shift pattern and breaks; weekend coverage required.
