Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical-SurgicalRegistered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to adult medicaland surgical patients in a collaborative healthcare environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a manageablepatient-to-nurse ratio of up to 6:1, allowing nurses to providepersonalized care while developing meaningful relationships with patients andtheir families.
New graduate Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Providecomprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients throughout thecare continuum.
- Utilizethe nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning,intervention, and evaluation, to develop and implement individualizedpatient care plans.
- Monitorpatient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and communicateconcerns appropriately.
- Administermedications and treatments in accordance with established standards,physician orders, and facility policies.
- Providepatient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications,and ongoing care needs.
- Maintainaccurate and timely patient documentation and clinical records.
- Collaboratewith physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and otherhealthcare professionals to coordinate quality patient care.
- Maintaincompliance with professional nursing standards, applicable laws,regulations, and organizational policies.
- Providecompassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety, dignity, andcomfort.
- Managepatient assignments with a maximum 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Participateas an active member of the healthcare team and contribute to a positive,supportive work environment.
Qualifications
Education
- AssociateDegree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- ActiveRegistered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas (KS), or
- ActiveNurse Licensure Compact (NLC) privilege/license allowing practicein Kansas.
Certifications
Candidates must hold one of the following current BasicLife Support (BLS) certifications:
- AmericanHeart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- AmericanRed Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
