Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg/Tele unit in Lafayette, LA. This on-site contract role runs 13 weeks with a night shift schedule (12 hours, 3 days/week) and requires a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a nursing diploma.

Two years of nursing experience is preferred. The position emphasizes leadership, patient care delivery, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department s strategic goals and objectives and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.

Education

Required - Registered nurse diploma.

Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.

Experience Required - 2 years of experience.

Certifications

Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.

KSAs

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed.

Job Duties

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
