DirectShifts is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical & PACU Registered Nurse to join our network in Indiana. This role involves caring for adults with PACU and Med-Surgical conditions before, during, and after surgery, in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor vitals, educate patients and families, and ensure a safe environment while adhering to hospital policies.

Qualificações

• Active Indiana RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical and PACU nursing experience.
• Sedation/medication administration experience required.
• Strong knowledge of adult PACU and Med-Surg conditions.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered, and team-oriented.

About the Role:

As a PACU & Med-Surg RN at a DirectShifts facility in Indiana, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to adult patients before, during, and after surgery. You will work alongside physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver individualized care plans and promote patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform other nursing interventions.
• Monitor vital signs, document patient care thoroughly, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Washington Indiana State RN License.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical and PACU nursing
• Need to have pushed sedation and/or medication and are comfortable with the setup.
• Strong understanding of adult PACU & Medical-Surgical conditions.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and prioritize tasks efficiently.
