Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Medical Surgical Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. This Per Diem/PRN role features 12-hour day shifts (7:00a–7:00p) in a busy Med Surg environment, with supervision by an RN or physician.

The LPN will monitor vitals, administer meds, and assist with patient care. Required Alabama LPN license, BLS certification, and IV certification; one year of relevant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• IV certification
• One year experience in an applicable setting is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
• Meet the communication needs of the patient and family.
• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform CPR, patient care, documentation, wound care and vital signs.

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care


• Meets the communication needs of the patient and family


• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse


• Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs

Qualifications
