Job summary

Sciolex Corporation in Oklahoma City is seeking a Medical Support Assistant to provide front-desk reception and patient services for Veterans Health Administration contracts.

You will screen calls, schedule appointments, process records, and coordinate care with providers, using Microsoft Office and electronic health records. A US citizen with a Public Trust clearance is required; 6 months customer service experience and 50 WPM typing ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to type 50 WPM.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Screens and receives phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
• Responds to telephone inquiries regarding delivery of services.
• Perform appointment scheduling, tracking, pre- and post- appointment contacts as required.
• Receive medical records and ensure all necessary health and administrative information are processed into the proper Records Systems.
• Coordinates and authorizes care with external community care providers.
• Access computers to utilize Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, and various electronic systems.
• Process community care consults in associated electronic systems.
• Effectively communicates with internal and external medical providers, reception staff, patients, and other third parties.
• Provide friendly and quality customer service to all patients, patient families, office and medical staff.
• Various front desk administrative duties, as needed.

Pay Range: $15.50 - $17.00 Hourly
