Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Medical Supply Technician to support our government customer in Dayton, OH, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The role includes receiving, storing, inventory management, cataloging, and moving medical supplies in a compliant, secure environment.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preferred associate or bachelor\'s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor\'s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business is Highly Preferred.
• Minimum 6 months experience in supply/warehouse setting; medical supply preferred.
• Valid driver\'s license; able to operate hand trucks.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work requirements.
• Willing to sign NDA and comply with healthcare facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, deliver, and disposition supplies as directed.
• Inventory management, storage, cataloging, and property utilization.
• Verify materials against receiving documents; report discrepancies.
• Transport supplies between medical logistics and base activities.
• Maintain housekeeping in hi-bay and warehouse; recycle cardboard.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC has a potential need for a Medical Supply Technician to provide support for our government customer in Dayton, OH, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Required to perform supply technician activities including: receiving, delivering and disposition of supplies, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, verification of materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment and/or disposition.
• Required to perform verification of delivery, receipt, storage, and issue of incoming supplies. The contractor shall apply special handling procedures for the following: controlled medical items, gases, precious metals, dangerous and hazardous material, and refrigerated and frozen materials.
• Required to transport supplies and equipment between medical logistics and base support activities and customers.
• Maintain thorough housekeeping standards by cleaning the hi-bay and equipment room and sweeping/mopping the warehouse on a regular basis. The contractor shall also be responsible for recycling the cardboard by placing it in the appropriate dumpster.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business is Highly Preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Good working knowledge of the USAF governing supply systems to include; Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• Minimum of 6 months experience is required in the supply or warehouse setting, Medical Supply is ideal.
• Required to have a valid driver's license and shall be required to operate hand trucks.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of OSHA and AFOSH ground safety standard.
• Must be willing and able to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform regular physical work required for handling and moving medical supplies and equipment.
• Maintain all required qualifications, licenses, certifications, and training (to include training needed for compliance with healthcare facility clinical quality accreditation standards).

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in the logistics section within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Prior military experience as a logistician (4A1) with exposure to logistics, supply and/or medical units.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to pass a Tier 1/SF 85 background investigation.
