Job summary

CHI St. Luke’s Health is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to understand, analyze, and apply Medical Staff Bylaws, state and federal requirements, and accreditation standards affecting credentialing activities.

The role coordinates credentialing workflows, verifies primary source information, maintains confidential research, and serves as a liaison between practitioners, the hospital, and the Centralized Verification Office (CVO) throughout appointments and reappointments.

Qualifications

• Requires CPMSM and/or CPCS certification at hire.
• Associates degree or higher in healthcare administration preferred or 10 years in medical staff services.
• Experience with credentialing processes and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate credentialing activities and data entry for physician onboarding.
• Verifies and maintains primary source information for credentialing.
• Serve as liaison between practitioners, hospital, and CVO throughout credentialing.
• Ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws and regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior staff and conduct audits to identify improvement opportunities.
