Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking a Sonographer for obstetric ultrasound procedures at Sinai Hospital. The role involves performing obstetric exams, reviewing history, and presenting findings to perinatology staff.

Primary responsibilities include level 1–3 OB ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, and invasive procedure guidance. Two years of sonographer experience is preferred, with RDMS in OB/GYN and BLS CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Two years sonographer experience preferred.
• RDMS in OB/GYN required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs obstetric ultrasounds with varying complexity (level 1–3) and provides ultrasound guidance for procedures.
• Checks previous studies for comparison and presents films with concise history to the perinatologist.
• Provides biophysical profiles and AFI; offers technical oversight to other ultrasound staff.
• Performs fetal echocardiography, nuchal translucency, CVS and amnio procedures.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and ensures optimal image quality; works with adult female patients.

Performs duties of Sonographeras it relates specifically to providing Obstetric-related procedures; adjusts equipment and evaluates images.M-F day shift, part time benefit eligible. Checks previous ultrasound studies for comparison and additional history.Presents films/pictures and concise history to the perinatologist.Ensures that an adequate clinical history is available to correlate with the ultrasound examination to be performed; Performs obstetrical ultrasounds varying in degrees of complexity (level 1 to level 3); provides ultrasound guidance of invasive procedures.Performs biophysical and AFI‘s and provides technical oversight to other ultrasound staff performing this service.Performs fetal echocardiography, Nuchal Translucency, Chorionic Villous Sampling (CVS) and Amnio Procedures.Technically manipulates, equipment to obtain appropriate quality and quantity of image to convey clinical condition.Practices preventive maintenance procedures and reports all needed repairs to manager/lead ultrasound tech.Works primarily with adult women patients;
