Job summary

OCOM in Winter Garden, FL seeks a Simulation Actor (1099) to portray diverse patient scenarios for medical students. You will work with faculty to deliver realistic performances, including physical exams, and provide constructive feedback to learners.

Prior acting is a plus; strong reliability and confidentiality are essential. The role requires adaptability, punctuality, and comfort with teleconferencing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Realistic portrayal of diverse patient personalities, medical histories, and emotional states
• Improvise and adapt your performance based on student interactions and scenario developments
• Demonstrate a wide range of emotions and reactions to simulate real-life patient encounters
• Maintain consistency and fidelity to the assigned scenario, including medical details and character background
• Participate as the patient undergoing a physical examination for medical students to practice their skills
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their communication, empathy, and professionalism
• Collaborate effectively with faculty and staff to ensure accurate and effective scenario execution
• Attend training sessions to learn case details, performance expectations, and feedback techniques
• Maintain a professional demeanor, adhere to confidentiality guidelines, and arrive punctually for scheduled sessions
• Participate in simulated medical interviews, physical examinations, and other clinical scenarios
• Follow written and verbal instructions regarding case details and performance expectations
• Maintain confidentiality with all students, cases, training materials, and assessment data
