Job summary

Cleveland Area Hospital in Oklahoma is seeking a Medical Scribe to document patient visits and medical records under the Clinic Practice Manager. You will support clinicians, ensure accurate charting, and uphold HIPAA and confidentiality while delivering quality patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program, and 1+ year of experience in a medical setting; LPN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited Medical Assisting program completed.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical setting with thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Medical Assistant experience required.
• LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Organization’s Policies and Procedures.
• Accompany doctor into patient examination room to document the encounter accurately and efficiently.
• Performs all functions of a Medical Assistant.
• Performs routine patient care responsibilities.
• Conducts patient outreach phone calls, post procedure follow-up.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Understand and observe legal concepts (e.g. HIPAA, confidentiality).
