Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Healthcare Scribe to support providers by dictation assistance and efficient clinic flow. The role includes documenting patient visits in the EHR and assisting with data entry as directed by the provider.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (GED) or equivalent, 3–6 months related experience, and proficiency with typing and Microsoft Office. HIPAA compliance and patient service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3 to 6 months related experience.
• Certificate from medical assistant program preferred.
• Ability to type 45 WPM and use Outlook/Office.
• Strong customer service and communication with patients.
• Experience entering data into the EHR and supporting providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider with dictations to improve clinic flow.
• Document patient care in the EHR as directed.
• Navigate the Electronic Health Record system.
• Enter information into the EHR and respond to provider messages.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area.
• Participate in office meetings and educational activities.
• Comply with HIPAA procedures.
• Support physicians with coding and documentation of services.

Job Description : Your Job: The Scribe will assists the provider with the completion of his/her dictations to improve the efficiency and quality of each patient visit and the overall clinic flow.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or certificate from college or technical school.
• 3 to 6 month related experience.
• Certificate from medical assistant program preferred.
• Ability to type 45 WPM, basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.
• Relays relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.
• Assists the provider in navigating Electronic Health Record system.
• Enters information into EHR as directed by the provider.
• Researches information as requested by the provider.
• Responds to various messages as requested by the provider.
• Assistants the physicians/physician assistant with documenting patient care in the electronic medical record and insuring that all services ordered are coded in the electronic medical record.
• Participates in office meetings and educational activities.
• Complies with HIPAA procedures.
• Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
