Job summary

Fox Valley Orthopedics in Geneva, Illinois is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to support providers by documenting visits and procedures and maintaining accurate medical records.

You will bridge clinical tasks with the EHR system, enter data, review records for completeness, and participate in pre-employment screenings, including background checks and TB/drug tests.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

IF this sounds like the type of team and environment you want to be a part of apply today!Position SummaryThe Medical Scribe is responsible to facilitate patient information flow ensuring an accurate and complete medical record for each patient at the direction of the medical provider.Location: Geneva, IllinoisStatus: Part-Time (24 Hours/Week)Pay Rate: $16.50 - $19.00/Hour (based on experience)Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesEssential Job FunctionsBridge clinical skills with information technology in order to update the electronic health record of the patient.Accompany the medical provider, except where prohibited by a patient’s request or confidentiality requirement, to record accurate documentation of the patient’s visit and procedures in the system.Responsible to complete the patient medical record by tracking and transcribing all consultation data, labs, radiologic and other diagnostic tests for the medical provider.Record diagnosis, discharge, prescription and/or follow up instructions as well as consultations or discussions with the family and/or any other medical or nonmedical personnel.Enter information into the electronic health record system.Review content of all patient medical records to ensure completion and accuracy prior to submission to the medical provider for final review and approval.Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment TB and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment TB and drug screen, background check, and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
