Job summary

BioMarin is seeking a Medical Scientific Director to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple BioMarin‑sponsored and collaborative studies across therapeutic areas. You will partner with Real World Evidence, Global Medical Leads, and Data Sciences to design practical study strategies and ensure hands-on execution support for medical affairs‑led studies.

Qualifications

PharmD/PhD/MD with at least 5 years experience conducting observational and Phase IIIb/IV studies or MS/MPH with 10+ years similar experience.
Experience delivering a portfolio of protocols aligned to program objectives.
Experience addressing regulatory or IRB/Ethics questions about study designs and protocol conduct.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day conduct of BioMarin-sponsored and collaborative studies across therapeutic areas.
Collaborate with Global Medical Leads, RWE/Epidemiology, Data Sciences and Study Operations to develop study strategies.
Provide scientific input into study concepts, protocols, SAPs, and regulatory responses.
Coordinate preparation of regulatory submissions and responses to queries.
Present study results to internal and external stakeholders and at scientific conferences.
