• Escalates authorization issues and coordinates peer-to-peer review.
• Communicates managed care requests with the clinical team per workflows.
• Maintains adequate records of insurance notes and authorizations.
• Answers phones and routes calls to staff; takes messages.
• Follows up with patients for returns, cancellations, and missed appointments.
