Job summary

CoxHealth is recruiting a Medical Resource Specialist (MRS) to handle administrative duties for nurse reviewer utilization processes and other department procedures. The MRS serves as a liaison between Cox HealthPlans, providers, and members to ensure requests are processed accurately and promptly, supporting compliant utilization of plan provisions.

The role emphasizes clear communication, independence, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required; 3–5 years related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: 3-5 Years Related Experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Strong phone skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between CHP, providers, and members to ensure timely processing of requests.
• Perform administrative duties associated with the utilization process and department procedures.
• Promote effective utilization of product lines in accordance with plan provisions and guidelines.
