Job summary

Penn State University in Hershey, PA seeks a full-time Human Research Technologist to support data entry, interview coordination, and qualitative coding within the Van Scoy Communication Lab on a 12-month funded appointment.

The role involves coordinating study materials, conducting interviews by phone or Zoom, and assisting with data management and dissemination across diverse clinical and community settings.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required; no prior relevant work experience required; equivalent experience accepted in lieu of education.
• Clearances: state police background check, child abuse history, FBI background check.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a group.

Responsibilities

• Data entry into study databases (REDCap)
• Preparing research materials and project materials for participant use
• Travel to research events for data collection
• Shipping and tracking project materials
• Tracking participant stipends and maintaining administrative project databases
• Conducting interviews and focus groups via phone, in-person or via Zoom
• Qualitative data analysis
• Attending lab meetings
• Scheduling and organizing in-person and videoconference meetings
• Other duties as assigned
