Job summary

Advantmed is seeking a Medical Records Technician to support scanning and organizing patient records across multiple medical facilities. The role involves traveling with company-provided equipment to collect and digitize documents while maintaining HIPAA compliance and data accuracy.

The position is seasonal, with part-time to full-time potential based on project needs. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, access to a car, and home internet to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Have a car and active insurance in their name.
• Internet access at home.
• Willing to drive up to 60-80 miles each trip.
• Basic PC and office equipment skills.
• Knowledge of medical chart structure and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a record system for patient information.
• Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete.
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically.
• File paperwork/reports quickly and accurately.
• Ensure HIPAA standards are followed.
• Use electronic system to collect, organize and manage data.
• Interact with medical staff, healthcare providers, and other medical personnel.

Our Medical Records Technicians are given company laptops and portable scanners to travel to various medical facilities and hospitals to scan patient medical records.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a record system for patient information and gathering documents
• Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically
• File paperwork/reports quickly and accurately
• Ensure HIPAA standards
• Use electronic system to properly collect, organize and manage data
• Follow all confidentiality guidelines, rules, and procedures
• Interact with medical staff, healthcare providers, and other medical personnel

Pay Rate:

• $18-$21Per Hour or $3per record.
• Paid semi-monthly based on total hours worked or total records retrieved during the work period (whichever is higher)
• Paid mileage
• Reimbursement for some travel expenses
• Paid $50 (daily) Food Allowance, when traveling out of state
• Paid Flight + Hotel + Rental (if required)

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
• Have a car and active insurance in their name(Candidates must provide Registration documentation)
• Internet access at home
• Willing to drive up to 60-80 miles or more (round-trip)
• Basic PC and office equipment skills
• Knowledge of file copying, sharing, and transfer
• Intermediate knowledge of medical chart structure, content, and medical terminologies

*This position is seasonal, part to full-time, with the possibility of extension based on project needs
