Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to maintain accurate patient records and support regulatory compliance. You will accompany residents to appointments and assist with patient transport as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in medical records preferred in a Long-Term Care facility.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient medical records are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with regulations.
• Follow up with doctors' offices and medical directors to obtain copies of physician orders.
• Prepare medical record requests promptly and accurately.
• Scan hard copy records into the electronic medical record system.
• Accompany residents to doctors' appointments and provide transport as needed.
