Qualifications

• Experience assisting providers with coding guidelines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records for completeness and accuracy of identifiers, signatures, dates, and reports.
• Evaluates documentation for medical necessity and appropriate modifier usage.
• Verifies final diagnoses reflect care provided and ensures correct CPT/ICD/HCPCS codes.
• Assigns ICD, CPT, HCPCS, CDT, and DSM codes based on documented diagnoses.
• Ensures terminology aligns with current coding guidelines.
