American Family Care in Alabama is hiring a part-time Medical Receptionist focused on insurance verification and medical billing. You will be the clinic's first friendly face, handling payments, scheduling, and patient check-ins while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role emphasizes verifying coverage before services, clearly explaining costs to patients, and proactively resolving billing issues to protect clinic revenue. Four shifts per month minimum, including some weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

At American Family Care, our PRN Medical Receptionists keep our urgent care centers running smoothly. In this role, you will be committing to working a minimum of four shifts per month including some weekdays and some weekends.

• You have experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non-negotiable!).

Compensation

At AFC, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices. The anticipated pay range for this position is $16.50 to $19.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions.
