Diagnostic Radiological Imaging Elk Grove is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments. You will partner with back-office staff to ensure accurate documentation and smooth patient flow, while upholding privacy and safety policies.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and multitasking skills, a friendly demeanor, and a commitment to delivering world-class customer service in a fast-paced imaging

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication abilities.
• Experience providing excellent customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls; schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
• Provide directions and orientation for prep and safety protocols; coordinate with back-office staff.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications in line with policies.

You Will:

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees
• Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments and notify staff of changes when necessary.
• Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
• Coordinate with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $23.00 $26.00 / per hour
Pay Range: USD $23.00 - USD $26.00 /per hour Shift: Mornings Shift Variations: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
