77 consultants is seeking a Medical Radiologic Technologist to join its outpatient radiology team in Syracuse. The role covers general X-rays, DEXA scans, and C-arm imaging in the operating room, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Applicants may be experienced technologists or new graduates; required ARRT certification, state license, and BLS. The position emphasizes patient care, safety, and teamwork within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Radiography is required.
• Current ARRT certification is required.
• Active state license as needed for the role.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Take general X-rays and DEXA scans; assist C-arm imaging in OR.
• Read orders and prepare patients for imaging tests.
• Position patients correctly and keep them still as needed.
• Operate radiology machines and adjust settings for clear images.
• Check image quality and accuracy; follow radiation safety rules.
• Use sterile techniques with C-arm in surgery.
• Follow all regulations and standards; use PACS/RIS systems.
• Maintain equipment and arrange for maintenance when needed.
• Keep imaging areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• Collaborate with radiology staff and healthcare team.

Job Summary

A well‑known healthcare organization is looking for a Medical Radiologic Technologist to join its outpatient radiology team.

This full‑time job includes general X‑rays, DEXA scans, and C‑arm imaging in an operating room. This position is open to experienced radiologic technologists and new graduates, offering a chance to work with different imaging techniques while focusing on patient care.

Main Duties

• - Take general X‑rays and DEXA scans, and help with C‑arm imaging in the operating room.
• - Read doctor’s orders and prepare patients for their imaging tests.
• - Position patients correctly and use devices to keep them still if needed.
• - Operate radiology machines and adjust settings to get clear images.
• - Check images for quality and accuracy.
• - Follow safety rules for radiation and keep exposure as low as possible.
• - Use sterile techniques when using C‑arm equipment in surgery.
• - Follow all rules, regulations, and standards.
• - Use PACS, RIS, and other electronic imaging systems.
• - Keep an eye on the equipment and perform regular checks.
• - Arrange for maintenance and repairs of equipment when needed.
• - Keep imaging areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• - Work together with radiology staff and other healthcare team members.

Required Qualifications

• - Associate's degree in Medical Radiography
• - Current ARRT certification
• - Active state license as needed
• - Other certifications may be required based on the specialty area
• - Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• - New Radiologic Technologist graduates are welcome to apply
• - 1–2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred
• - Experience in outpatient radiology is a plus
• - Experience with C‑arm imaging in the operating room is preferred
