Job summary

Summit Health Management seeks a medical physics professional to join our Radiation Oncology team in New York. You will oversee acceptance, commissioning, QA, and dosimetry for external beam, brachytherapy, CT simulation, and treatment planning systems.

The role requires board-certified qualifications, a Ph.D./M.S. in a related field, and at least one year of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology. Travel to satellite offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• Certification in the specific subfield of medical physics and continuing education.
• Ph.D. or MS in physics or medical physics from an accredited college or university.
• One year of clinical experience in a Radiation Oncology department.
• Proficiency in external beam planning including SBRT/SRS; 2D/3D/IMRT/EBRT.
• Travel to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Acceptance/commissioning of radiation therapy machines and equipment.
• QA and dosimetry calibration of external beam, brachytherapy, CT simulator, and TPS.
• External beam planning (3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS) using Varian TPS.
• HDR brachytherapy planning and treatment.
• Physics support for SBRT, SRS, HDR, and 4DCT.
• Active participation in quality assurance programs and accreditation.
