Job summary

Texas Oncology – Abilene seeks a full-time Medical Physicist (Certified or Board Eligible) to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will manage plan review, QA, and treatment verification for external beam radiotherapy, including SBRT and HDR workflows.

Requirements include CAMPEP residency, Master’s in Medical Physics, Texas licensure eligibility, and a strong clinical background with Varian linacs, Eclipse TPS, and MOSAIQ/ARIA experience. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics from an accredited program.
• Completed CAMPEP approved residency.
• Board eligible and pursuing ABR certification.
• Texas license eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of experience (including residency).
• Strong clinical background with SRS/SBRT/HDR.
• Experience with Varian linear accelerators.

Responsibilities

• Operate Varian linear accelerators and perform QA per protocol.
• Manage treatment planning and verification using Eclipse TPS.
• Utilize ARIA and MOSAIQ Radiation Oncology Information System.
• Assist in HDR, SBRT and SRS procedures.
• Ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
