APPS Paramedical Services is recruiting health professionals to perform mobile paramedical exams from home anywhere in Iowa. This independent contractor role offers up to $50 per case and requires no full-time benefits. Candidates should have one year of phlebotomy experience, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Expect self-scheduling, strong communication with regional staff, and a professional demeanor at all times. Liability insurance is provided by APPS for examiners.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure or certification is not required for this position; prior certs or commensurate experience may be considered.
  • One year of recent phlebotomy experience with at least 100 successful draws.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation with valid insurance.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and technical skills.
  • Computer access (laptop with camera preferred) or tablet/phone.
  • Resume must be free of grammar and spelling errors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mobile paramedical exams (health history, vitals, specimens).
  • Non-interpretive ECG tracings; ECG machines need not be owned by examiner.
  • Self-schedule caseload; APPS assigns cases you may accept or decline.
  • Maintain regular communication with regional office about case status.
  • Professional conduct at all times; liability insurance provided by APPS.

About the Job:

Work from home anywhere in the state of IOWA!

APPS Paramedical Services is the nation’s largest and most technologically advanced health examination and information provider. Our network of health professionals conducts physical examinations, testing (venipunctures, EKG, etc), and personal health interviews. We serve the life insurance industry's leading providers (New York Life, Primerica, Principal, Northwestern Mutual, etc.) by being the partner company providing physical examination, and invasive and noninvasive testing required for their policies to be underwritten.

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented, currently or previously certified or licensed healthcare professionals (Critical care paramedics, RNs, LPNs, Certified MA, Phlebotomist, EMTs & non- CC Paramedics) to work your schedule and hours, cases, part- and full-time.

Up to $50.00 per case depending on the requirements of each case.

This is a 1099G (Independent Contractor) position which means APPS does not provide benefits like health, SDI, vision, etc. insurance.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Performing mobile paramedical healthcare exams (health history, vitals, obtaining and completing specimens: blood, urine, etc.).
  • Non-interpretive ECG tracings. ECG machines are not the examiner's responsibility to own.
  • The ability to self-schedule your caseload; APPS sends you the case. you accept or decline - it's YOUR business.
  • Must have strong and continued communication with the regional office's friendly staff regarding case status or any issues, needs, or conflicts that arise.
  • Professional conduct is required at all times that is representative of the healthcare industry that you represent and the company that places its trust in you!
  • Liability insurance IS provided by APPS for our examiners.
Qualified candidates must have:
  • Current licensure or certification is NOT required for this position (e.g., RN, LPN, Med Tech, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, and EMT/Paramedics).
  • Previous certification/licensure or commensurate experience is required (see next).
  • Must have one year of recent phlebotomy experience and completed a minimum of 100 successful draws, valid driver’s license, and own transportation with valid insurance.
  • The position requires excellent communication, organization, and technical skills: the interpersonal skills to interface extensively with clients, management, and office staff, as well as a high level of courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
  • The candidate must also have a computer (preferably a laptop with a camera or a tablet and a mobile phone.
