Job summary

Advanced Eye Care in New Lenox, IL, and Lemont, IL, is seeking a medically focused Optometrist (OD) to join our independent ophthalmology practice. This part-time role focuses on medical optometry with an established patient base and collaboration with cataract and cornea surgeons.

You will conduct comprehensive medical eye exams, manage ocular diseases, and work with technicians in a supportive environment. Flexible scheduling and autonomy are emphasized.

Qualifications

• OD with active Illinois license in good standing.
• Experience in medical management of ocular disease.
• Proficiency in conventional contact lens fitting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases including glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.
• Provide comprehensive medical eye exams for an established patient population.
• Evaluate and fit soft spherical, toric, and multifocal contact lenses.
• Collaborate with cataract and cornea surgeons on complex conditions and treatment planning.
• Evaluate and manage dry eye disease with in-office treatments.
