Job summary

Associated Eye Care is seeking a licensed optometrist to join our Minnesota practice. You will perform independent patient examinations, document findings, and participate in co-management for medical/surgical cases, including postoperative care for retinal, glaucoma, cataract, and LASIK patients.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, referrals when needed, and collaboration with technicians and physicians to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality eye care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited optometry program.
• Licensed optometrist in the required state(s).
• Fellowship preferred; ophthalmology experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent patient examinations within licensure.
• Document findings accurately in EHROnly after orders protocol.
• Refer patients when treatment is outside scope or for second opinions.
• Provide contact lens exams/fittings and refer to optical for purchases.
• Bill examinations based on findings and documentation; interact with billing.
• Collaborate with clinical team to see patients efficiently.
• Manage co-management of medical/surgical patients per state law.
• Provide postoperative care for retinal, glaucoma, cataract, LASIK surgeries.
